I'm super stoked to announce that InterTwinkles has hired Mary Regan, Kendra Moyer and Noah Swartz to work on outreach, organizing, documentation and user testing for InterTwinkles over the next three months.  Together we're going to be forging forth with the goal of setting up a cluster-based decision making process in Boston this summer among Boston area cooperative houses, something I'll talk about in more detail in coming posts.

Mary brings deep expertise with community organizing, and several years of direct experience living in Boston co-ops. She'll be helping with recruiting, workshop facilitation, and more.

Kendra brings substantial experience in working with activists to make effective use of technology for organizing. She'll be helping with documentation, end-user tech support, among other things.

Noah brings programming experience and experience with organizing technology workshops.  He'll be will be helping out with usability testing and extending InterTwinkles into other platforms.

Media Ideation Fellowship

InterTwinkles has selected to be in the inaugural class of fellows for Voqal's Media Ideation Fellowship! We're super excited for this honor and to join in the other projects, including"
  • Textline for Court-Involved Youth: an anonymous, SMS-based hotline that will serve young people involved in welfare, juvenile court, and foster care systems in New York City, by Tara Conly
  • A transparency-focused technology platform to increase food donations to Philadelphia-based food pantries by enabling donors to monitor their contributions and recruiting student volunteers, by Yongjun Heo
  • Project Phonebooth: a mobile app that aims to make applying to local government jobs easier for those who rely on mobile technology to access the Internet, by Kristy Tillman
